THE PEOPLE OF BURANCO

Our farm, BURANCO, is operated not only to produce high quality wine, grappa, limoncino, olive oil and honey but also to preserve the heritage and the complex ecosystem of the Buranco valley. We do this with the help and special knowledge of experts in enology and viticulture and those with many years of experience with the terrain of the Cinque Terre:

Ida Del Favero Graduate in Viticulture and Enology; University of Udine

Together Markus and Ida oversee vinification and all operations in the vineyard; Ida handles the administarion of BURANCO.

Alessandro Motto Native of Monterosso, manages the training of the grapevines in the vineyard.

Giorgio Bacigalupi Enologist, presides over equipment of the winery and the processing and analysis of the wine.

Federico Curtaz Agronomist, establishes standards: he selects rootstock and clones, decides when to fertilize, irrigate, prune and the precise time to pick the grapes.

Walter De Battè Consultant, noted producer of Cinque Terre wines, advises operations in the winery.
